Ms Sibukele Gumbo

Ms Sibukele Gumbo is the Ivili Loboya Corporate Services Manager, a start-up company in the wool processing area in the Eastern Cape, and a part-time PhD student in the Computer Science department of the University of Fort Hare. She has been Project Leader of the Siyakhula Living Lab (www.siyakhulaLL.org) – a joint venture between Rhodes University and the University of Fort Hare – and Liaison Officer in Reed House Systems, championing the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for education and rural development. Her ICT background is a critical ingredient for the transformation and the modernization of marginalized rural areas in Africa.
